Andromeda Celebrates 25 Years

In the fall of 1994, three friends sat down for dinner and made the decision that started it all. From that dinner, Andromeda Technology Solutions was born, and computer service was changed forever.  

Jeffrey Borello, CEO; William Utz, Vice President; and Patrick McDonald, Vice President; all stand–by the mission of providing exceptional service to their clients with help of the entire staff as well as business partners.  

The three original founders are all still active in the company today. Jeff Borello states his reason for wanting to start Andromeda – “wanting to help people – both clients and employees – to build something great.” This is something he pushes for each day.  

Now, Andromeda Technology Solutions proudly celebrates 25 years of servicing clients across Greater Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. Andromeda Technology Solutions has expanded their services from IT Support to include full-service Telecom services, Integrated Security Solutions (CCTV Security Camera service/installation), Access Control System Service/Engineering/Installation, and Digital Marketing Services including professional web design, SEO and more.

All three founders describe the first major achievement for the business as the day they outgrew working the business from their homes and the day they moved into their first official “space” in the Lockport Train Station back in November of 2003. It was the start of bigger and better things for the company.  

From there, they continued to grow, expand, and improve; expanding their team from 3 to the current 50. The growth is exciting because, “every time we grow or bring on a new teammate, that means we are growing to service our clients better and we can help even more businesses get great technology service – that’s the real win” (Tony Zaragoza – Director of Operations). And this sentiment is echoed by Vice President William Utz, “the biggest strength of the company right now is our employees.”

With an eye on the future, Patrick McDonald says, “I hope to continue to enrich our employees lives with a challenging yet rewarding place to work.
